Prime Minister Steven Harper has called for an election in Canada - Canadians will go to the polls on Tuesday October 14. Currently there are 5 parties that are campaigning for your vote: Conservatives, Liberals, Bloc Quebecois, NDP and Greens.

We're using this as a platform for TIG staff to engage with our Canadian members to talk about the election, the campaign, the issues and ultimately encourage you to have your say! Especially for those of you who will be voting for the first time, we hope that we'll give you enough information for you to make a decision.

If it is your first time to vote - let us know! Are you excited? Do you already have a party that you will be supporting? What issues come to mind that are important for Canadian youth? Comment on this blog, or write your own post!
