The meeting started at 02:45.
GU INTRODUCTION:
Mr. Yama Enayat briefly introduced GU, its constitution, mission and vision, activities and aims, and the importance of establishing GU Afghanistan Country Team to the participants. He also mentioned that a copy of the GU constitution is available at GU-Afghanistan project at
http://projects.takingitglobal.org/GU-Afghanistan/docs/ as well as at Global Unification official website www.globalunification.com.
MEMBERS INTRODUCTION:
The committee members were introduced to each other and all members showed interest on working with GU Afghanistan for the advancement of humanity in the country.
GU 8 PRINCIPLES AGENDA:
The committee members were briefed on the GU 8 principle agenda and it’s mentioned that the responsibility of GU Afghanistan will be based on the GU 8 principle agenda which are:
A National Representative
A National Committee of 11 or 13 members
Five Working commissions for the five pillars domain
Five working action plans from the different working commissions.
Local recognition of GU by the Country's Authorities.
Recommendation of Patrons and Matrons for National and Regional Levels.
Opening of a bank account on the name of GU Country name.
Official inauguration of GU Center for Country.
ACTIVITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS:
• According to the GU 8 Principle agenda, the committee members agreed to officially register the GU Afghanistan with the government authorities, it should be registered either with the Ministry of Economic or the Afghanistan Investment support Agency (AISA)
www.aisa.org.af.
As a result Mr. Emal Karimi, one of the GU Afghanistan team members is assigned to make an appointment with the Ministry of Economy officials and discuss with them the matter, and present the information and process of registration at the next meeting.
At the same time, information from AISA (Afghanistan Investment Support Agency) will be collected by Mr. Yama Enayat for the purpose of GU Registration.
• The GU Afghanistan Team approved to establish the GU IT center in first step, which will host the other programs. Therefore an action plan is required and should be developed to explain the needs, planning, budget, and implementation and evaluation process of this project.
• Ms. Maryam Shah and Ms. Negina Saquib requested to arrange all the GU Afghanistan future meetings at 02:30 pm on Saturdays.
• Mr. Mohammad Shafi Anwary will be taking care of the venue until the GU IT center is established.
All the committee members who were present at the meeting agreed to arrange the GU Afghanistan meetings two times in a month (each 15 days) to discuss the status of activities.
The meeting finished at 5:00 pm.
NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting will be on Saturday 9th June 2007.
