Looking Back: Moving Forward A Symposium on HIV and AIDS & Development

On November 14th a Toronto based ngo called "Africa's Children-Africa's Future" is holding an symposium on HIV and AIDS & Development.

This event is for University students who are interested in discussing how HIV and AIDS are affecting Canada and development abroad.

Speakers from several different aspects of HIV: Positive Women, Harm reduction, Youth, Legal issues, Research, and Children.

Africa's Children – Africa's Future (AC-AF) envisions a future in which all children have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. To achieve this goal AC-AF currently works within African communities to help build a better, sustainable future for the most vulnerable children in our Orphan and Vulnerable Children Support Programme (OVCS). AC-AF also works with high-school aged youth around the world in our u+me=we programme, which aims to educate and empower students about the AIDS epidemic and related issues, while encouraging a creative cross-cultural dialogue.
