The overview of the next event MY NGO....AFRICAN ARTS FOR DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES is planning is presented below;

PROJECT THEME: MDGs AWARENESS CONCERT

THE AIM: To facilitate the the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals
in our country, Nigeria.

OBJECTIVES: To inform,inspire and encourage people's action for the realization of the
8 Millenium Development Goals in Nigeria.

To awaken Nigerians to their social responsibilities and positive attitudes
towards fostering a national rebirth.

To promote the Use of arts(in all its ramification) in addressing social problems.

ELEMENTS OF THE EVENT: In this event four popular musicians that are generally admired
by the populace shall be performing live on stage.Each of them
shall discharge concrete entertainment,while at the same time
addressing two issues each in the MDGs.

Four distinguish personalities from the various fields of the
MDGs will also be delivering well articulated speeches to clearly
inform the audience about the MDGs: what they are,the degree
of achievement so far in Nigeria,the expectations for the
nearest future(2015),and the roles of the government, private
sector operators,the developed countries,the civil society and
citizens in achieving each of these goals.

Special awards shall be given to artiste who have been
remarkably using their works in promoting social development.

PROPOSED DATE,TIME& VENUE: 11th of November 2005,12noon at the National Stadium,
Surulere,Lagos.

TARGET CROWD: Ten Thousand People.
GRAND BUDGET: 2.3 million Naira

SUSTAINABILITY PLAN: The event and its outcomes shall be broadcasted on all media
stations&National dailies throughout the federation for several weeks
after the event.The report of this programme shall also be made
available on the internet,and it shall be presented to all development
and policy making bodies in the country.
