19 October- Colombia. After the World Youth Congress (WYC 2005) that took place in Scotland this year, many young people is taking action to achieve the MDGs and adapt them to their local realities.

David Orjuela Yepes is one the delegates that assited to the WYC 2005 and came back to this home, with the clear goal to awake Colombia and involve young people in the accomplishment of MDGs. He has been involved in youth activism for quite long, particulary in youth and sustainable development.

David promoted a Forum on Youth and MDG´s that was hosted by his University "Universidad Francisco de Caldas", in the capital of the Colombia, Bogotá.

The representative of the UNDP went to the Forum and discussed with young people about MDGs and if their were achievable or not in Colombia. Also local topics came out, making the forum very dynamic.

David expresed that " I would like to have more people commited with the MDGs, but unfortunately it is not an easy subject to promote among young people. But I wont give up. MDG´s are achievable in Colombia, and people should know this".
