The visiting telecentre leaders' team from Rwanda was enlightened about different issues related to telecentre sustainability by K Balasubramanian, a development catalyst working at MSSRF with Mission 2007 Secretariat. While commenting on different aspects of telecentres, Bala considered development largely as a process oriented activity, therfore, the telecentres should be, ideally, integrated with ongoing development processes to optimise their relevance. A telecentre should never be imposed from the top without any clue as to how it is going to benefit the user community.
