The curtains drawn at the close of the fourth convention of Mission 2007 on 3rd August 2007 heralded a new beginning for this movement that aims to transform every Indian village in a knowledge centre. And why only Indian villages- every rural community in the world! All successful ‘movements’ have a ripple effect and so was the case with Mission 2007. It led to the emergence of Mission Swabhiman in Nepal, Mission 2011 in Bangladesh and became a role model for several other countries in the South Asian region. The coming years will see many more such replications.
