IT’S challenging to get started with ICT access for learning in developing countries. It needs patience, commitment and both internal and external motivation. That is why Bill & Melinda gates foundations introduced the Access to learning US$ 1M award. The annual award has motivated and boosted seven telecentre projects since 2000. All the winners are connecting the disadvantaged-remote communities to information through access to free computers and internet.
