On Tuesday December 16th TIG celebrated the official launch of the latest version of the site - V6 - with a party in downtown Toronto! It was attended by TIG staff, alumni, members of our board, supporters and TIG members in the Toronto area. There are
photos and
a video for all the many members, supporters and staff members who couldn't physically attend the party.
It was great to be able to celebrate the launching of something virtual, with a physical event, to give recognition to all the hard work and the planning that went into the improvements you'll notice happening all over the site.
The celebration was MC'd by our Human Resources and Partnerships Manager
Jo Anne Tacorda and featured short speeches by
Ron Mitchell, President of TIG's Board of Directors, the Honorable MP Carolyn Bennett, and of course,
Jen and
Mike, TIG's Co-founders and Executive Director and Director of Technology respectively.
The night featured music by
Charles Tilden, a local Toronto musician and a lot of mingling between long-time TIG supporters and new people just being introduced to TIG!
The theme of our event was "How do “How do thriving communities form, grow, influence and sustain?"
