Humans are known for being greedy and spiteful, chewing up the world's natural resources and spewing them out into landfills that could someday fill up our world.  I don't know about you, but this isn't how I want our future generations to remember us.  When I looked up beauty on Google Images, all that came up were pictures of women wearing makeup, page after page.  Is this really what this world has come to? I thought. Then on the seventh page, I saw the picture that you see below.  Instead of the generation that killed  the beauty in the world, let's be the generation that realized just how much beauty was out there.  Let's be the generation that finally realized what beauty is.

Let's be the generation that re-defines human.

Have you ever had a moment where out of the blue, for no reason at all, you just feel extremely happy?  Giddy, happy.  I don't know why, but I feel this strange... content feeling.  No, not content....I don't know how to describe how I feel.  Not sad, nor happy, nor angry.  This weird feeling like I'm part of something bigger than me, or you, or anything I can imagine.  

I'm not sure how it came or why, but...

I kind of like this feeling.

Why do we have Thursdays?

My week would be great if it just went from Wednesday to Friday.  Wednesday has always been a good day for me, I just like that day.  And Fridays are especially good, because it's the day you can relax and know that you just got through another week.  Then there's Thursdays...

They're right in the middle of it all!  You wake up and then realize you still have to get through another day!  It's so tantalizingly close, but there's still another day to get through.  And then you have to get through Friday to get to the weekends.  Thursdays are not my favorite day.

Then again, today I was thinking very deeply (when I was supposed to be studying, of course) and realized something.  Why can't I just enjoy Thursdays?  You never know when one might be your last.  We always want more and more and more...we want to speed through life.  It's always "let's get this over with", when we should be enjoying the ride!  If we start to find joy in all the little things in life, then we never have to think "ugh, I wish this day would end!"  Even when it seems like your world is crashing down, you have to get back up.  There's always something good to see in a situation.  So try to see the good in life.

Even on a Thursday.

I recently pledged to encourage others not to stereo type others.  We are all beautiful just the way we are.  Personally, I know a lot of people around me insult each other with racist insults, and I find it really disgusting that they think that's okay.  They laugh about it, but it's not funny.  I can't see the humor in making fun of someone for who they are.  Part of the reason others do this is because they haven't been taugh differently- they see everyone else around them doing it, so they think it's okay.  Please help me in pledging to tell others that Racial Stereo Types are not okay.  The commitment is called Together Against Racial Stereo Types.
