www.woostercollective.com has amazing examples of public art from literally everywhere in the world. When I first discovered this site I spent about 3 hours going through the archives.

Sometimes I get to see things from Toronto like when they put a huge chain and pendant around a building on Queen Street West or when somebody jammed a billboard to make fun of George Bush. They also profiled a cool artist based out of Montreal named Roadsworth.

One of my goals in life is to someday do something cool enough to appear on this site...

In Toronto public space is a pretty big issue. A cool group that does work around this is the Toronto Public Space Committee. They also created a magazine called Spacing that publishes a blog at www.spacing.ca/wire. (I bought a subscription for my younger brother so I could read it every month).

While I am a big fan of their work, I think they need to be less downtown-centric and do more to work in solidarity with poor people and other less privileged people.
