There are currently many options for youth to involve themselves in an organization or opportunity working towards youth-led development. Grassroots initiative is crucial to achieving the Millennium Development Goals, and you can get involved before you arrive in New York for the Youth Assembly in August.
As you know, the internet has played an increasingly important role in the way that NGOs and other related organizations reach out to each other. Blogs are tools for these organizations to advertise and recruit those who are interested in helping to facilitate progress on i.e. the MDGs.
"Access: Speak Up For Change" is a blog run by ACCESS, or Allowing Children a Chance at Education. It's mission is to educate children and youth in North America about issues across borders. The blog serves as a forum for youth to discuss change and progression on many action initiatives.
